A Solid Track Record in Groundwater Basin Management

For nearly four decades, GEOSCIENCE has partnered with Southern California’s leading water districts to provide groundwater basin management. We have successfully conducted groundwater basin assessments and computer modeling of the majority of the groundwater basins in Southern California.

GEOSCIENCE staff understands that the keys to the success of such basin-wide programs require a thorough knowledge of basin geohydrology; an understanding of the issues and concerns of the basin management environment; the collection and review of accurate and comprehensive data, the use of state-of-the-art GIS for data analysis and display; and appropriate and adequately calibrated models. We have decades of experience assisting clients and have faced the challenges related to meeting water supply needs in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.

Many GEOSCIENCE projects have focused on the groundwater modeling and water budget studies that are a critical first step in determining the safe or perennial yield necessary to maintain basin sustainability. Our experience in devising and implementing plans in more than 70 such projects—often with multiple stakeholders and pursuing diverse objectives and strategies, take into account such issues as:

Rancho California Water District Groundwater Management

Maintaining long term partnerships with clients is a hallmark of GEOSCIENCE. Since 1988, we have served as the district hydrologist for the Rancho California Water District. In that time, we have devised programs to help the District plan, develop and manage its groundwater.
