Lindsay A. Swain, PG, CHG
Lindsay Swain has more than 40 years of professional experience in hydrologic environments from desert to rain forest throughout the United States. Much of his recent work has been in preparing water district data for implementation of California’s Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). His technical expertise includes developing one of the first groundwater solute-transport models in the nation for the Upper Coachella Valley. Mr. Swain also participated in the development of the groundwater model for California’s Central Valley where he developed the program to include water from aquifer compaction and land subsidence into the model. Mr. Swain has more than two dozen technical publications.
Lindsay has been part of the GEOSCIENCE team for more than a year, providing expertise in groundwater basin evaluations, artificial recharge, groundwater modeling, groundwater quality investigations, geothermal investigations, groundwater sustainability planning pursuant to SGMA and project management.
Lindsay is involved in a number of professional associations, including the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA), the Groundwater Resources Association of California and the Southern California Water Utilities Association, among others.
